Description
The Sirois house is the last acquired house for the Village. It was built by Willie Sirois in the early 1900s for his bride, Phoebe Cyr.
The Sirois family had eight children. Willie Sirois was a farmer and carpenter. His son Homer was the last to own the farm and the house. He sold the farm and house to his cousin Bertand Sirois who gave the house to the Village after building his bride a new house on the homestead.
This house, reflecting the regions growing prosperity, has some very interesting features common to homes built in the 1900s such as running water, varnished hard wood floors and stair case and individual upstairs rooms.
