Description
On February 22nd 1962 the Gay Building, which was located in the center of the downtown village in Waldoboro, was devastated by fire. The building was a total loss. The ladder truck is Rockland Ladder One, this same ladder truck was sold to the Town of Waldoboro in the early 1980s.
The collection of photos of this fire was composed from the photos donated to the Waldoboro Fire Department over the last 40 years from Genthners Studio, Boutilier Photos, Marjorie Freeman & many Waldoboro citizens.
