Description

Leonard Crockett, a machine shop operator on Fore Street in Portland, built hand pumper Casco No. 1 in 1850. He built at least seven engines for the City of Portland.

The print of the hand pumper was presented to Jedediah Jewett Esq. of Portland on January 1, 1851.
