Description
Mrs. John Merrill owned the granite block house just visible in the foreground on the left on Granite Street in Rockland. The view is looking west from Main Street.
The Greek Revival house next door in the center of the image belonged to Samuel K. Macomber who had a watch and jewelry store in the Thorndike Hotel on Main Street.
