The E. Swasey & Co. pottery and glassware company operated at 273 Commercial Street in Portland from 1890 to about 1930.
Swasey made a wide array of utilitarian ceramics – including pots like this for baking beans. The lid is marked "2/E Swasey & Co., Portland, ME."
