Description
Originally drawn in 1821, this view of Portland shows a densely developed neighborhood with an assortment of houses, workshops, and outbuildings.
Andrew Scott made the original drawing of the view looking west from the area of what is now India and Summer streets. Kate Perkins Scott Boyd made the version shown here from Andrew Scott's "dark water-color sketch."
