Description
When the Wadsworth-Longfellow house opened in 1901, Nathan Goold served as the first curator. He worked closely with members of the Longfellow family to restore the house in keeping with the wishes of Anne Longfellow Pierce.
He is shown sitting in the Parlor Chamber of the house.
Goold's father, William, was a historian who was involved with Maine Historical Society for many years.
