Description
Lorenzo Moulton (1830-1894), the eldest child of Nathan and Mary Moulton of Parsonsfield, wrote to his sister, probably Martha J. Moulton, who was living and working in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Moulton mentioned that it had been five months since Martha, and another sister, Hannah, had left for Lowell. He hoped they would return home for the summer.
"I suppose you can make more money there than you could at home," he wrote.
Moulton also commented on the health of their parents, and on another sister, Mary Ann, who was teaching school.
