Description

This Civil War soldier could be a Kimball ancestor, a friend, or neighbor of the Kimball family, from the Rumford area.

His uniform, with two stripes on the arm and a narrow stripe on the trouser, indicate that he was a corporal. The slouch hat on the chair with a bugle insignia could mean that he was in a regimental band.
