Description
Bates College is a liberal arts school in Lewiston. Founded in 1855 by Free Will Baptists, Bates was one of the first schools to admit students regardless of class, gender or race.
Leon Williams attended Bates from 1901-1903, and likely took this photograph in Parker Hall, the dormitory for men at Bates College.
