Description
Twenty men from Pittsfield signed an enrollment list to serve in the infantry for a period of nine months in response to the President Lincoln's call of August 11, 1862 for volunteers to serve in the Civil War.
The document includes original signatures as well as the ages of the volunteers and designates whether they were accepted or rejected for service.
