Description
By 1921, exploring the outdoors had become so popular the Farmington State Normal School that a walking club was formed. The Cascades, Flint Woods, Bonney Woods, and Powder House Hill were close to campus and popular places for walking and hiking when the weather was good.
Here are Pauline Davis, her roommate Ruth Boothby, and some friends enjoying a rest during a hiking in the woods, circa. 1925. Pauline and Ruth were members of the hiking club and the Soangetaha Campfire Girls in 1925. Pauline is lying on the log on the left with Ruth to her right.
