Description
As was tradition for graduating classes in Farmington State Normal School’s early years, the class photo was taken in front of Farmington’s public library. The public library is located next to the school’s main building, Merrill Hall.
Leona Coy and Arlene Plummer both graduated from Farmington State Normal School in 1923. There were three men in their graduating class: Irving R. Libby, Vinal B. Merrill, and Justin L. Nunan. Vinal Merrill is in the middle of the second row, holding the banner. Justin Nunan is in the back row near the door (left) and Irving Libby is on the end of the third row. Also at the back (right) is the school’s principal, Wilbert G. Mallett.
