Verlie Colby (1891-1992) posed for a formal portrait that perhaps celebrated her graduation from high school. She wore a Gibson Girl style blouse, popular in fashion at the time.
Verlie, the daughter of Charles E. and Annie M. (Perkins) Colby was born on, and lived her life on, Westport Island.
