Description
Annie May (Perkins) Colby of Westport Island celebrated her 78th birthday in front of the Woolwich Pumping Station, where her son worked. The pumping station was located at Nequasset Lake, and it pumped water to Bath.
One of Annie's children, Verlie (Colby) Greenleaf served the Town of Westport Island first as a School Committee member, and then as Tax Collector and Treasurer for 47 years.
