Description
This milk wagon represented the Goodwin Farm in a downtown parade, presumably the South Berwick Centennial Parade, 1914. The farm name, painted on the wagon's side, is just visible through the decorated wheel spokes. A note on the back of the photograph identifies the riders as Genie & Katherine & Charles R. Goodwin and the horses as Jopsey and Dinah.
Goodwin Farm, on the border of the towns of South Berwick and Berwick, was relinquished by the Goodwin family sometime before the mid 1900s. By the middle of the twentieth century, the plot had been renamed Outlook Farm and was farmed by Ralph and Lena Battis. In 2000, the farm became the Links at Outlook Golf Course.
