Contributed by Richard Shaw through Bangor Public Library
Description
Dan Maher took this photo on May 12, 1976, after the original Bangor Auditorium was demolished.
This view shows the Bass Park complex, with Buck Street on the right. The large oval to the rear of the auditorium is Bass Park raceway, still used for harness racing as of 2016. Two football fields and a baseball diamond were added inside the race track in 1917. The black roofed building to the left is the Park's grandstand, and the white roofed buildings at the far end of the raceway are the stables and tack rooms. The parking lot is to the far left.
