Description
Postcards were a popular way to correspond with soldiers during World War I, whether serving locally or abroad. Biddeford's young men could be found serving in the Canadian armed forces as well as the US forces, and both men and women served in the Red Cross and medical corps at home and abroad.
The poem on this unused postcard reads: "A Message from Biddeford, Maine - In airship or submarine, - Wherever you may be - On earth, air or water, - Send a thought to me."
