Description
Chansonetta Stanley Emmons captured this photograph as part of a series of images showcasing the glorious beech trees on Stanley Hill in her native Kingfield. The girl in the red hat was likely her daughter, Dorothy. As a young widow, Emmons and her daughter traveled extensively across New England and beyond to pursue her passion for photography.
