Description

Chansonetta Stanley Emmons, born in Kingfield in 1858, photographed this view of a field reminiscent of Fall in New England. She traveled throughout New England to capture rural life. This image is likely part of a slide program compiled by Emmons to show audiences. Her daughter, Dorothy, is thought to have hand-tinted these lantern slides.
