Description
Stephen Boomer was a Westbrook born army soldier during WWI, and graduated from both Deering High School and the University of New Hampshire. He registered for the draft while at UNH, and was a member of the cadet school before being sent over seas in 1917 when America entered into the war. Due to joining while at school, he officially served under the state of New Hampshire. After returning home from the war he received his degree in Forestry from UNH in 1921, and went on to work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture from 1923 to 1959.
