Description
This brick building was the third building built by Dr. Frank Ross at this location on Main Street in Kennebunk. The previous two buildings were made of wood and burned; the first in 1881 and the second in 1895.
Originally only two stories tall, the Ross Block Building housed Dr. Ross’s office and pharmacy. The block has housed various businesses and organizations over the years, including the post office, a barber shop, the newspaper office of the Eastern Star, a drug store with soda counter, a Masonic Hall and a hardware store.
