Description
An unknown building, seemingly in the middle of Main Street, was attached to the grist mill on the Sheepscot River. Inscribed on the card is, "This is the wonderful town where I live. Katie"
Photographer Frank W. Cunningham (1865-1938) wrote on another postcard with the very same view:
"Where can you get cards with this High Gloss Finish at 2½¢! Only of me. They are going like smoke. Please examine the finish of this card. They sell where the common card will not. Try a few and see. F. W. C.” This postcard was addressed to H. T. Weeks & Co. in Coopers Mills and postmarked Sep. 20, 1909. The Weeks & Co. store was the white building on the far left.
