Description
Peter William Rowe (1864-1944) was a native of Maitland, Hants County, Nova Scotia who emigrated to New London, Connecticut in the early 1890s and then later in the 1890s to Portland.
Rowe was a ship carpenter for many years and built bridges in Portland; he later operated a milk business on Munjoy Hill.
A son of Irish immigrants, Rowe married Bridget Anne Carrigg (1864-1957), a native of Smithstown, Drumline, County Clare, Ireland.
