Description
The completed S.S. "Cumberland" launched, in view of onlookers, on June 29, 1918 in South Portland.
The S.S. "Cumberland" was one of several ships commissioned by the United States Shipping Board (U.S.S.B.) and built by the Cumberland Shipbuilding Company at the Cumberland Shipyard in South Portland during World War I.
