Description
In this October 1, 1895 John Dunn photo, Spencer Mountain rises in the distance above Ragged Lake in northern Maine.
Ragged Lake was a favorite destination of John Dunn from the mid 1880s to the early 1900s. Guides were hired from the Moosehead Lake area for their knowledge of the area and access to remote hunting and fishing camps.
Trophy brook trout and abundant game were the rewards for the Philadelphia sports.
