Description
Maine high school students were chosen each week to appear on The Dave Astor Show, an American Bandstand-like program whcih aired from 1956 to 1971. Many students sang, lip synced, danced or played musical instruments as part of the program.
Originally titled "For Teenagers Only," Astor's program was first broadcast on WGAN (now WGME). It moved to exclusively to WCSH by 1963.
