Description

Charles F. Achorn dealt in horses and cattle from 1892 until his death in 1918. He drove a buggy drawn by his horse "Jack"; hired hands Henry Noyes held a colt by his halter and Perl Eaton sat in a wagon drawn by a team of horses. The white horse was in Whitefield's Centennial Parade in 1909.

Charles used this same postcard view in December 1908 to write his niece Mildred Slater (1876-1975) in Belfast to come home for Christmas. He said her cousin Addie would be there; they were all well and hard at work; and he asked her to remember us to all "and show them where we live."
