Description
Portland residents Donald Stanley, left, and Arthur Butts, right, were pictured with Deputy Sheriff Everett Roach of New Gloucester. Stanley, 19, and Butts, 17, were arrested for allegedly holding up a filling station in Danville Junction. They were also questioned for robbing a restaurant in Portland earlier in the week.
A cropped version of this picture appeared on the front page of the Portland Evening Express, October 22, 1936.
