Description

These policemen on motorcycles were assigned to assist the 17th annual Conference of Governor's, from June 29th through July 1st, 1925, at the Poland Springs House. According to the July 29th front page story in the Portland Evening Express, 14 governors, their staff and families arrived by the steamship Calvin Austin at the Maine State Pier in Portland. They proceeded to the Poland Springs House for several days of meetings and tours around Maine.
