Description
Chinese immigrants to Maine, Hop Ling and an unnamed man were photographed in outfits from their homeland.
They were members of Augusta's South Parish Congregational Church Chinese Sunday School. Many Chinese residents joined Christian Church Sunday Schools, in part to learn English.
