Description
The Portland Press Herald and the Portland Evening Express covered seasonal activities in Maine through extensive use of photography in their papers. In this photograph, staff photographers captured sun-bathers and swimmers on a sunny day on what appears to be Short Beach at York Beach, a village in the town of York. Young's Hotel is in the background.
This image appeared in the August 24, 1924 Issue of the Portland Press Herald.
