Description
Candlepin bowling was popular among the Pepperell textile workers, in the mid 1950s and 1960s. The local textile union 305T sponsored both men’s and women’s leagues; they bowled at the Pastime Lanes on Main Street in Biddeford and 20th Century Lane on Franklin Street in Biddeford.
The women's candlepin bowling team called, "Five Flop", posed for a team photo. Left to right, front: Hazel Labbe, Connie Grenier; back: June Tardiff, Laurette Oliver and Doris Roy.
