Description
Longshoreman Percy "Bruno" Graffam was a champion in his own class. Bruno had the incredible ability to hold eight pool balls with one hand, a feat that required a great amount of hand strength and coordination. The paper stated that his digits were of ordinary length. Once the balls were secure, he was able to move his hand around in almost any position; conditioning most likely attained through manual labor on Portland's waterfront.
The Portland Evening Express ran this story on Saturday, May 21, 1927, under the title "Champion Picker-Up"
