Description
The estate at Walker's Point, also known as the Bush Compound, in Kennebunkport was named for the Walker family, which purchased the land around the turn of the 19th to 20th century. The Bush family was connected to the estate through the marriage of Dorothy Walker and Prescott Bush (President George H.W. Bush's parents) in 1921.
The compound sits on a peninsula adjacent to Cape Arundel in Kennebunkport. This photograph was likely taken from that vantage point (Cape Arundel).
