Description
Portland Evening Express and Portland Press Herald photographers focused much of their work on street portraits of everyday Mainers in sections like "As They Were" or "With Us Today," which sometimes included a small write up on the subject.
Many of these portraits have little information accompanying them, but they offer a unique look into Maine life during the 1920s and 1930s.
