Description
Students and faculty at North School on Munjoy Hill filled in a "Schools at War" booklet sponsored by the War Savings staff of the U.S. Treasury and the Office of Education, to show how they were involved in the effort to win World War II.
Students around the country participated in various programs, such as selling War Bonds and Stamps, and collecting scrap metal to be sold and recycled. American students raised millions of dollars to support the war effort.
