Description
On January 6, 1920, the Training School for Nurses at Queen's Hospital (later known as Mercy Hospital) opened its doors to meet the rising demand for qualified nurses in Maine. The program provided housing for students on the hospital grounds and encouraged their active involvement in student committees and groups.
