Description
Vonn "John" Volmer, a Roxbury, Massachusetts resident posed with a machine at the Great Northern Paper Company.
Volmer was known for his improvements towards cooling machines used in the industry, specifically those producing paper using sulphite mills. He advertised his "Improved Ramdohr Cooler" as being able to withstand the toughest summer heat, while remaining the most durable cooler on the market.
In his advertisements, Volmer encouraged people to see his work for themselves at locations including Millinocket, Madison, and Lincoln, Maine.
