This Inn was established by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad Company primarily to house its employees during the overnight stops of the train. The Inn featured hardwood floors and steam heat throughout with electricity generated at the B&A shop in Oakfield. Patterson of Bangor, the general contractor was A.E. Ames of Houlton with heating and plumbing installed by C.H. Babb & Company of Bangor.
