Description
Portrait photograph of Levi W. Smith of Vinalhaven.
Smith belonged to the National Greenback party. He served as a Selectman in Vinalhaven and was a member of the Maine Legislature in 1880.
He was a mariner for 14 years, five of those in the U.S. Navy. He served in the Navy during the Civil War.
He then became a stone cutter.
