Description
Professor Al Nutting from University of Maine inspected Norway Pine trees that were planted on Troy's town forest land. Troy received federal and state grants to plant trees on abandoned farms, and over the years the trees grew well and provided much needed cash to the rural Maine town.
The University of Maine and Cooperative Extension provided expertise and assistance in obtaining grants to ensure the success of this program.
