Description

This tintype of a horse and wagon, in front of the Webber & Porter building on Main Street in Searsport, was printed in reverse. The signs in the background read "Webber & Porter." and "B. O. Sargent..." B.O. Webber & Porter was a furniture merchant, while B.O. Sargent sold tinware during the period.

A little over a century later, the space occupied by Webber & Porter would eventually become the Penobscot Marine Museum gift store.
