Description
Daguerreotype of Augustus Fox (1829-1868), who served in the 1st Maine and the 4th Maine Light Artillery during the Civil War. Augustus, the son of Daniel Fox, was a barrel maker from Portland.
The photograph was taken by Marcus Ormsbee of Boston, who was active between 1852 and 1860.
