Description
Sadie O. Gould of Portland (b. 1856) of Portland, was the daughter of Thomas Gould and his wife Sarah. A note accompanying the was photograph reads "Miss Sadie O. Gould, born and lived on High St., corner [at] Deering near Eastland [Hotel], large home. Died in Boston, Mass., Oct. 1930."
Thomas Rice (T.R.) Burnham captured this photograph for the Gould family. Burnham worked in Maine in the 1860s alongside Asa Marsh Burnham. Together, they were the "Burnham Bros."
