Description
On Memorial Day 1920, the City of Portland dedicated 100 Linden trees along Baxter Blvd. as a "memorial grove" to honor service in the First World War. A dedication ceremony was held in Payson Park, with specific trees allocated to both fallen servicemen, as well as those who survived the war.
