Description
Frank Howe, Donald W. Hoffses--a member of the executive board of the former Maine Highway Safety Committee--and Richard Hamlin, Maine Highway Safety Committee executive director, stood at one of the new signs installed on the Maine Turnpike in 1972.
The Maine Highway Safety Committee installed signs as part of a $2 million safety program along with 26 additional miles of guard rail along the median strip from miles 54 to 80.
