Description
Marion Klein of Williamsport was from the Pennsylvania delegation of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs (NFBPWC). She is pictured here holding the delegation's mascot, a stuffed goat. From July 12 to July 18 of 1925, the NFBPWC held their seventh annual convention in Portland.
There was a good-natured tradition among these conventions for delegations to attempt to steal each others' mascots. These mascots usually represented an industry or cultural identity that the respective state was famous for.
