Description
Union Army Capt. Samuel T. Keene of Rockland was commissioned in Company F, 20th Infantry Maine Regiment on Aug. 29, 1862. He was 29 years old.
He commanded Co. F at the Battle of Gettysburg.
Keene was killed in action on June 22, 1864 in Petersburg, Virginia.
