Description

With the popularization of the automobile many families took road trips to "see the sights". Among them, about 1912, were Asa and Geneva Libby Douglass of Standish who traveled to Fort Allen Park in Portland to tour Casco Bay.

Fort Allen park was a popular destination and Portland Harbor was an active port with many four masted schooners and their tour boat, the Pilgrim.
